Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ApexGo VPN ("App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services. By using ApexGo VPN, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Service Description
ApexGo VPN uses Android's VpnService to create a device-level VPN tunnel and route your network traffic through configured proxy endpoints. The App helps you connect to servers in different regions to access the internet through the selected location.
We do not intentionally log the content of your browsing activity. Connection-related data may be processed locally on your device to display connection status, session duration, selected location, and traffic statistics.
2. Permissions We Request and Why
To provide VPN functionality, the App may request the following permissions:
- INTERNET - Required for VPN network communication.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used to detect network availability and maintain connection behavior.
- ACCESS_WIFI_STATE - Used to observe Wi-Fi state while the VPN is active.
- CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE - Used where needed to help Android maintain network routing behavior.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE - Required to run the VPN as a foreground service while connected.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE - Required for the VPN foreground service type on supported Android versions.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) - Used to show the ongoing VPN status notification while connected.
- VPN consent (VpnService.prepare) - Android will ask for your approval before the VPN tunnel can be established. You may decline; the App cannot connect without this consent.
3. Foreground Notification
When the VPN is active, Android requires a persistent notification. This notification may display connection state and estimated upload/download speeds. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
4. Information Processed by the App
- Connection state, selected location, session duration, current IP display, and traffic counters shown inside the App.
- Network availability and basic device network status needed to operate the VPN connection.
- Gateway and route configuration required to create the VPN tunnel.
- Public IP lookup data may be requested from a third-party endpoint to display connection information.
- Crash, diagnostic, or advertising-related data may be processed if those features are enabled in the version you use.
5. Advertising
ApexGo VPN may display advertisements through third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob when this feature is enabled. Ad partners may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
For more information about how Google uses data, visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.
